Seasonal Employment Helps the State Economy
Many of New England's large, corporate-run ski resorts rely on foreign seasonal workers.
Every winter, Cannon employs about 500 people who make snow, groom trails, run lifts, sell tickets, cook food, care for children, teach skiers and snowboarders, keep the lights on, repair skis and boards, provide first aid and do all of the other things that keep a ski area running.
These jobs are held by local, taxpaying residents of New Hampshire.
Would a privately run Cannon still provide jobs for North Country residents?
